The Final Countdown!
With just over a week until opening night, the excitement is building! We’re diving into our final rehearsals, as we sharpen our dance moves, lift our voices with confidence, and bring Roald Dahl’s unforgettable characters to life on stage!
This week, you’ll receive more details about our dress rehearsal day (excursion on Wednesday 3rd September) and the performance evenings (Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th September). Don’t forget to check the costume information below, which was previously been emailed to families. There is important information about footwear.
Tickets are flying out the door and we’re almost at a full house! Be quick before the last seats disappear!

Costume Update
Prep students
Please refer to the prep page in the Wonga Weekly for information on your child's costume needs. All Prep students will need to bring their costume to the dress rehearsal day on Wednesday September 3rd (not to school any earlier than this day).
Grade 3-6 students
- Most students have now tried on part or all of their costume. We will be finalising the Grade 4s and some other roles this week.
The students will be receiving their costume on the day of the dress rehearsal - Wednesday September 3rd.
Everything they need will be inside except for the following:
Grade 3 and 4 - all students will need to provide their own white socks (long or short) and runners (any colour) for the performances.
Grade 5/6 students - if your child is wearing a school uniform for the production (in the chorus or in a main role) they will need to provide their own black shoes and white socks (long or short). Black runners, school shoes, or simple black shoes are fine. Please check in with Mrs Salisbury if you are unsure or need support with this.
Production T-Shirts
For those who ordered a production t-shirt, they will be arriving early this week (maybe they will have arrived before you read this!). Students are allowed to wear these as part of their school uniform for the remainder of Term Three. We hope this helps build excitement and helps celebrate the memories of this production.
