Grade 4 Camp
Students in Grade 4 will be heading to camp on Monday, 18th of August, departing Wonga Park at 9:00 am. Please arrive ahead of time to check in with your child’s teacher and hand over any medications.
The teachers attending camp will be Kylie Sledge, Melanie Lambden, Nathan Percy, Ben White, Bridie Archer and Jocelyn Hollyman. There was a late change with Liz Penny needing to remain at school to support the wellbeing space due to the unexpected absence of Terri Gioia.
Grade 3 students will be taught by Jenny Barr and Liz Penny and Noam Koles. Teachers will return to school on Thursday morning.
Grade 3 – Kitchen Garden
The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program will run as usual this week. Our Grade 3 students will be making delicious food and spending time gardening. If you are able to support this valuable program, please follow the link below to sign up.
Maths
Students will be consolidating their learning in multiplication and division and beginning work on measurement. Ongoing practice of multiplication facts will help your child build automatic recall. All students have access to Times Table Rock Stars with their login information and are encouraged to use it at home.
Reading
Students will be exploring a range of non-fiction texts that support their wellbeing and understanding of our class novel Kensuke’s Kingdom. They will present their understanding through a variety of written and oral formats.
Writing
Students will review the narrative writing process, then complete and publish a written narrative. You may like to ask your child about their story and how it is progressing.
Wellbeing
Students will participate in community games and take part in a special activity from the National Science Week program, following National Science Week in Week 4.
