Reminders:

Mathseeds over holidays

There is no expectation for children to complete Mathseeds over the Summer. If you would like to continue with the one lesson a week for routine, you are welcome to do so.

Extra resources over holidays

Please note that Prep teachers will not be supplying any resources for extra learning over the holidays.

Year 1

Merry Christmas to all of our families in Year 1 - thanks for your support all through the year.

Year 2

Reminders:

School Books Coming Home:

It would be greatly appreciated if your child could bring an additional bag to school to enable them to bring their workbooks home. This will ensure that their school bag does not become too heavy. Your child is very excited to share their books with you.

Homework:

As the school year comes to an end, we know that the Year 2 cohort will finish strongly with their homework routines. This includes 1 lesson of Mathseeds and 4 nights of reading for 15 minutes. Thank you for your continued efforts at home to support your child with their homework routine. 

We recommend over the holidays for your child to continue accessing Mathseeds and completing their reading. There are many rich lessons on Mathseeds and this is the last chance for students to complete them before transitioning to Mathletics in Year 3. When completing Mathseeds, please support your child to continue doing 1 lesson a week. This will support your child with a positive homework routine while enjoying their holidays. If you have any opportunities for you and your child to visit your local library, this would be a wonderful way to continue accessing books over the holidays.

Device Return

We will soon be collecting in all student devices that were not purchased as part of the Year 3 Device Buyout. Please ensure your child has their device at school ready for collection and also their school issued charger.

Reading over the holidays

We are so proud of the progress that the Year 4s have made this year with their reading. In order for students to not regress over the holidays, we would highly recommend keeping up a reading routine that works for your family.

Year 5

Reminders:

Lost Library Books 

Miss Zoe has kindly provided students a printed out reminder of the books that students have not yet returned. If you find these books before the end of term, we ask that you please send them back into school with your child. If you happen to find them over the summer holidays, please bring them back in 2026.
