Prep Buddies

Our Grade 4 and Prep buddies have enjoyed a wonderful term of learning and connecting together. Each session has given the students a chance to build friendships while developing important skills.

One highlight was working together on a help-seeking storyboard, where the buddies explored who they can turn to when they need support. The Preps loved hearing the Grade 4s’ ideas and drawing their own responses. The Preps also had the chance to read and follow procedural texts written by the Grade 4s, turning their older buddies’ writing into fun hands-on activities. Another special moment this term was the “Bullying – No Way!” activity led by our Grade 6 wellbeing leaders. The Prep and Grade 4 buddies worked together to think about kindness, respect, and how we can all play a role in making our school a safe and caring place.

It has been fantastic to see the confidence and connections growing between buddies, and we look forward to more sessions together in Term 4!
