Scholastic Book Fair
Wow! A huge thank you to all our wonderful families for your ongoing support of our annual Scholastic Book Fair. Thanks to the generosity of the St Patrick’s community we sold $15,200 of books! Proceeds from Book Fair allows us to purchase new books for the library and classroom resources to benefit all students. We are also very grateful for the many generous book donations from Book Fair and look forward to sharing these new items with our students.
Congratulations to our
Lucky Door prize winners: Saira from Year 1 and Kiana from Year 3.
The Book Fair continues to be a popular and busy event at our school. Thank you to the amazing staff of St Patrick’s, especially our LSO team, for their assistance in helping this event take place.
We hope your new books take you on many new adventures!

2025 CBCA Book of the Year Awards | Announcement
Our students engaged in this exciting literary event by transforming their classrooms into a storytelling space based on the short-listed books from each category. Many thanks to our wonderful classroom teachers for making the 2025 CBCA books come alive. We hope you enjoy our classroom displays.
Book Week 2025
As Book Week comes to an end for 2025 we need to acknowledge the tireless efforts of the St Patrick’s staff, especially Mr Jim Heelis and our Literacy Coordinators Mrs Kim Hill and Mrs Kate Gill.
Their incredible work behind the scenes each year ensures that Book Week is an exciting and memorable experience for our students and fosters a life-long appreciation for literature. During Book Week our students have spent time with visiting authors and illustrators, raised money for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation and of course participated in our Book Parade extravaganza.
Thank you teachers!

A Day at the Theatre!
The Pavilion at Sutherland has 2 upcoming events for our book lovers. Based on the book by Australian author/ illustrator duo Jackie French and Bruce Whatley, the Monkey Baa Theatre Company will present a play of children’s favourite Josephine wants to Dance. A hilarious musical about the importance of believing in yourself, realising your dreams and… a dancing kangaroo!
