Principal's Message

A Message from the Principal
Together We Learn, Together We Flourish
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of Term One, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your ongoing support of our school community. It has been a busy, enriching and rewarding term, and we are grateful for the strong partnership we share with you in supporting your children.
Throughout the term, our students have settled beautifully into their new classes, building positive relationships and demonstrating a strong commitment to their learning. It has been wonderful to see students setting meaningful goals and embracing opportunities to grow, both academically and personally. The introduction of our new homework policy has also begun with very positive energy, supporting consistent and purposeful learning habits at home.
We have celebrated many significant moments together this term. These have included the commissioning of our student leaders, our Year Six Encounter Day, and the installation of our 2026 Student Representative Council. Our students have engaged in the NAPLAN assessments with confidence, and our library monitors proudly received their badges, taking on important leadership roles within our school.
A special highlight was our Caritas Water Walk, which provided students with a powerful opportunity to develop empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by others around the world. I would like to sincerely thank Ms Krystle Perera for her dedication and leadership in working alongside the Student Representative Council and staff to organise and ensure such a meaningful and successful event.
We were also delighted to welcome prospective families for our 2027 Open Classes, with many visitors commenting on the warmth, engagement and pride of our Year Six students. Our NRMA Safety Presentation provided valuable learning for our students, and our extra-curricular programs have begun with great enthusiasm, these include choir, dance, touch football, chess and jujitsu.
Another highlight of the term was our first Fathering Project – Fly and Flourish, which brought our community together in a meaningful and joyful way. Thank you to Mr Matthews and the Fathering Project committee for organising the event. Our fundraising chocolate drive has also been well supported—thank you for your generosity.
Our liturgies and Masses have continued to nurture the spiritual life of our school, providing opportunities for prayer, reflection and connection. Most importantly, across all classrooms, students have been engaged in rich learning experiences that both challenge and extend them.
Like any busy term, there have been a few challenges along the way. However, it is in how we respond that truly matters and I am proud of the way our students, staff and community have worked together to overcome these and continue moving forward positively.
It is clear that our students continue to flourish each day—academically, socially and spiritually—and this is a testament to the strength of our community.
As we look ahead, there are many exciting opportunities and initiatives planned for Term Two and we look forward to continuing this strong momentum in learning, community and faith.
Thank you once again for your continued support, partnership and trust.
Wishing all our families a safe, restful and joyful break and a blessed Easter.
Kind regards,
Grace
Grace Carlo-Stella
Principal
