Fire Carriers Commissioning
This afternoon, our school community gathered for a meaningful Fire Carrier Ceremony, acknowledging our commitment to walking together in truth, respect, and reconciliation. We were grateful to be joined by representatives from Catholic Education Sandhurst, Michael Chisholm and Tanika Thornton, who supported us in this important moment.
Year 5/6 Leaders Emmet, Braxton and Edmund, along with Ms McLean, received their Fire Carrier badges and pledged to be a voice for reconciliation. All students participated with reverence and pride, learning about the significance of the Fire Carrier symbol and what it means to carry forward a message of hope, understanding, and unity. Through prayer, reflection, and shared experience, our leaders were encouraged to be active contributors to a more just and inclusive future.
Basketball
The school has been successful in securing a Victorian Sporting Grant, enabling us to bring specialist coaches from a range of sports to run clinics with our students.
Mrs Gleisner, a passionate basketballer herself, organised for Eryn and Ciarah from the Bendigo Braves to commence a six‑session basketball program with our students. As you can see, students absolutely loved their time with the Lady Braves and are already looking forward to their return next week.

Year F-6 Indonesian
Hmmmmmm saya suka makanan! Enak sekali!!
This term in Indonesian we are learning the names of foods we eat. We are also learning how to tell people in Indonesian which foods we like or do not like to eat:
"Saya suka makan apel." - "I like to eat apples."
"Saya tidak suka makan pisang." - "I do not like to eat bananas."
Some of the Indonesian vocabulary sounds very similar to the English names - Can you guess what these foods might be?
es krim?
apel?
coklat?
Later in the term, we will be making and tasting some delicious traditional Indonesian food such as nasi goreng, sapi rendang and dadar gulung. Enak sekali!
Year F-2 Religion
Who is in Your Community?
This term, we have been learning about our Church and the importance of the community that it brings to its members and parishioners. Students have observed significant symbols that are found around and in the church. They were asked to draw their favourite symbol that they found, and also a bird's eye view of what the church looks like.
Levels F-6 Social and Emotional Learning
Our school is transitioning from the Resilience Project to the Respectful Relationships Program as part of our whole-school approach to social and emotional learning. Throughout this program, students will explore topics such as positive coping strategies, problem-solving, and stress management.
Over the next three weeks, students will develop their ability to identify and manage emotions, build confidence in facing challenges, and strengthen their skills in positive self-talk.
Loddon Shire Art Competition
A reminder to families who have not yet returned permission forms for the Loddon Shire Art Competition. Students have been demonstrating a strong level of effort on their art projects, and we kindly request that all outstanding forms be submitted as soon as possible.
