Supporting Wellbeing at MGC – Strengthening resilience at school and home
At MGC we are committed to strengthening the engagement and wellbeing of all students. This year we are continuing our partnership with The Resilience Project (TRP) - a wellbeing program that promotes positive mental health through evidence-based strategies focusing on gratitude, empathy, mindfulness and emotional literacy. We want to ensure that all students at MGC feel supported, understood and equipped with the skills to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
To extend the benefits of this work beyond the school day and into family life, we encourage all families to explore the TRP Family Hub. The hub is a wonderful space that features practical activities, resources and conversation starters designed to support wellbeing at home. From simple gratitude practices to mindful activities, these tools are easy to use and can help strengthen connection, communication, and emotional awareness. When schools and families speak the same language around mental health, our young people thrive.
We are also pleased to invite you to our Building Resilience at Home workshop (in-person) in Term Two on Thursday the 30 April 6.30pm-7.30pm. This session will be run by a facilitator from The Resilience Project and will explore key TRP concepts and offer strategies you can use at home to support your child’s wellbeing and your own. See flyer for more information and book your spot via this link.
We look forward to the year ahead as we continue to nurture resilient, compassionate and confident young people at MGC.
Any questions about the program or the workshop please contact the school.
