Specialist Information for Year 3 Term 2:

PE:

In PE this term, students will be developing game skills and strategies. They then will be introduced to modified versions of invasion games, to establish basic understandings of teamwork and rules. 

They will also be participating in House Cross Country, which will be occurring on April 30th.

STEAM:

In STEAM this term, students will use verbal block code to move avatars or robots in a sequence of steps that involve more complex coding. All work is completed using an iPad and Education Department-approved coding apps.

LOTE:

In Mandarin this term, students will be learning to read and create imaginative texts. Through roleplay they will improve their reading, viewing, speaking and writing skills.

Art:

Year 3 students will investigate the properties of Textiles, Sculpture, and Ceramics throughout Term 2. The curriculum focuses on building foundational techniques in clay moulding, structural assembly, and fibre arts. Students will apply these skills to produce original 3D artworks that demonstrate an understanding of shape, space, and texture.

Music:

In Music this term, students will be continuing to learn to read and play recorder in the treble clef. New notes of C and D will be introduced.
