Our Inquiry topic this term focuses on around the essential questions “What is it like to live in Australia?””What is My Place?” We will begin by focusing on our city’s Yarra River and our connection to Country.

During the term, students will explore how people are connected to places and environments, and why these connections matter. They will learn about the importance of natural features such as vegetation and water sources for both people and animals, in Australia and around the world. Students will investigate different types of vegetation and climates, where they are found, and how they support life, including their significance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. They will also develop an understanding of sustainability, focusing on how we can responsibly use natural resources and manage waste to care for our environment.
