Wellbeing

As part of Hampton's whole school Wellbeing curriculum, the children will continue to engage with our school norms of Collaboration, Aspiration, Integrity and Resilience, where we will build our own individual goals for Term 2 based on them.

Throughout the term, we will focus specifically on Emotional Literacy and Problem Solving. Students will take part in authentic learning experiences incorporating the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) Program.

For the topic Emotional Literacy, the students will describe what emotions look like and what can trigger our certain emotions. They will also consider the range of emotions that may be experienced across the school day and how they can manage them in various settings to ensure positive interactions with others.

Later in the term, students will explore problem solving by developing communication skills, learning when to seek help or support others, and building a range of strategies to achieve positive outcomes. They will reflect on problems, understand peer support, and learn how to respond when feeling uncomfortable or unsafe. This will be linked to the Respectful Relationships Four R’s—Recognise, Respond, Report and Reflect—to guide their decision-making and actions.
