Hollows
As we come to the close of another successful term, we reflect on the many achievements and experiences that have defined this period. It has been a truly exceptional term, and we are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our students and staff alike.
During a recent assembly, we had the opportunity to celebrate the outstanding academic accomplishments of our students. In particular, we recognised their achievements in Mathematics, Science, and English. Congratulations to Charlie, Aavi, Quinn, Lewis, Brian, and Matthew for their exceptional performances in these subjects. Your dedication to excellence is an inspiration to us all.
We also announced our 2025 House Leadership team. Congratulations to the following students who will be leading our house community in the upcoming year:
House Captain: Ella
Vice House Captain: Ash
House Ambassadors: Minta, Ash, Marcus, Nuzaira, Ananya, Boyi, Malik, and Henry
We are excited to work alongside this dynamic team and look forward to seeing the leadership and enthusiasm they bring to their roles in 2025.
On Friday 22nd November, our 2025 student leaders had the valuable opportunity to work collaboratively during the Student Leaders Day Out. The event involved participating in a city-wide scavenger hunt, where students demonstrated both teamwork and problem-solving skills.
We proudly congratulate the Hollows team for their exceptional performance, securing the fastest time of the day and achieving an impressive ranking of 22nd highest score worldwide. This remarkable accomplishment reflects the dedication and spirit of our student leaders.
Well done to everyone involved!
The spirit of our school was palpable as we came together during Mentor time to enjoy the sunshine and participate in a game of Tunnel Ball. It was a wonderful way to engage in physical activity, foster teamwork, and create lasting memories. We thank everyone who participated for their energy and enthusiasm.
A special congratulations goes to our Year 12 students, who have completed their exams.
We are immensely proud of your resilience, commitment, and perseverance throughout this rigorous period.
Best wishes for your results and the exciting journey that lies ahead.
To our Year 10 and 11 students, congratulations on successfully completing your final assessments and exams. Furthermore, we commend you for your efforts during the two-week Step-Up program. This initiative is an excellent opportunity to prepare for the year ahead, and we are proud of the dedication you’ve shown in taking full advantage of it.
As we look ahead, our Year 7 and 8 students are gearing up for exciting upcoming themes in Carnival and Travel. These engaging themes promise to offer a wealth of learning experiences, and we look forward to the creativity and exploration they will bring.
Year 9 students, you have an exciting adventure on the horizon as well.
Gumbaya World excursion was enjoyed and students took the opportunity to connect with their peers and the environment.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the staff and parents for their continued support throughout the year. Your dedication and partnership are invaluable to the success of our students.
A very special mention goes to Ms Aimee Pochinco and Ms Lily Sawkins, who have begun their family leave. We wish them all the best during this exciting time.
We are also pleased to welcome Ms Samanthi Senaviratine and Mr Damian Quinn as new Mentor teachers for H13 and H12. We look forward to the contributions they will make to our school community.
Finally, we would like to acknowledge the outstanding work of Ms Rebecca Reber, who has worked diligently with H3 over the years. Rebecca will be transitioning to her new role as Assistant House Leader at Melba, and we wish her the very best in this exciting next chapter of her career.
As we head into the holiday break, we hope that all members of our school community enjoy a well-deserved rest and come back refreshed and ready for the new challenges and opportunities that 2025 will bring. We look forward to another year of learning, growth, and achievement together.
Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable break.
