 Force and Movement

This term, our science inquiry is based on Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion. Students will learn about these laws and for the duration of the unit and they will conduct a series of class experiments to demonstrate the science behind each law. Students will develop their skills in writing a science report to demonstrate what they have learnt.

For the first three weeks of homework, students will be required to complete a weekly task to consolidate their understanding of each law. 

Students will study simple machines such as pulleys, magnets and levers and use simple experiments using Lego Technics to explore these concepts. Students will participate in an incursion on Wednesday 6th November where they will learn about force and movement and will have the opportunity to build a mini billy cart and test it.
