The focus area for Wellbeing in Term Four is Positive Coping. We will begin the term by revisiting the school norms and classroom agreement. Students will review and set new goals based on the school norms.

Students will begin the positive coping unit by developing an understanding that everyone has different fears, responses and coping strategies and that we need to recognise the need to respect these individual differences.

Students will recognise the need to understand how emotional responses vary in depth and strength and how different situations can lead to  strong emotions. They will learn strategies to control their anger and will reflect on the effectiveness of these strategies to manage their emotions.

Students will reflect on how one's actions can impact others and they will learn how they can make a strong apology.

In addition to learning about positive coping, students will engage with activities from the Visible Wellbeing program designed to support the building of relationships.

Finally, students will be involved in Bike Education. The aim of this program is to equip the students with the skills they need to maintain their bike and to ride safely in the community.
