Term 4 - Inquiry and Religious Education

In the final weeks of last term all of our staff worked together in their levels to collaboratively plan our RE and Inquiry for Term four.  We used a wonderful image to inspire our thoughts around environmental resources and the difference between 'Needs and wants'. This term we will be linking in with mini missions to raise money for those in need in our community and this links in well with our Year 5-6 unit on Economics and Business. 

Our Year P-4 students will develop their Design Technology skills to create sustainable environmental products to help raise money which will in turn help them with developing their financial literacy.  Our teachers will send more detailed information in their term overviews coming soon.

Here are the overarching questions created by our staff to inspire our planning going forward this term.

P-2 - How can understanding the origin of our resources help us to use them better and protect our environment?

Year 3/4 - How can we recognise and meet our needs in a sustainable way while maintaining our relationship with our creator?

Year 5/6 - How do we balance our needs and wants when we make financial decisions in a world where resources are becoming rich?
