Sunday's Gospel - 27th Sunday in Ordinary time
Gospel Reading - Mark 10: 2-16
"Let the Children Come to me".
This Gospel is always a favourite of mine, especially because our work is centred around the students we educate and care for every day in our profession and as a community. What special and powerful words Jesus uses here. Not only did he say that we have to become like children to enter the Kingdom of God, but he took the children in his arms to bless them.
What does this message mean for you?
All our lives, we ask our children to grow and develop so that they can become mature adults, yet Jesus says we need to become more like children.
How could this be and why would Jesus remind us of this in the Gospel?
Jesus says that the Kingdom of God belongs to our children.
How are we helping our children to know the Kingdom of God in our daily lives?
