MESSAGE STICK

On Monday we held a small liturgy at school to acknowledge the arrival of the message stick. Throughout the week classes have been colouring in bookmarks with language and writing a message of welcome. These bookmarks and welcome messages will be placed in the packs of all the delegates coming to the CSNSW Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Education Conference in Tamworth 22-24 October.

Our school will hand over the Message Stick to St Edward's South Tamworth tomorrow.

VERITAS AWARDS

Our Veritas Awards stem from our school motto - ‘Veritas’ - meaning truth. The Veritas Award is awarded to students who have been consistently displaying citizenship, leadership and/or Christian Living. Students receiving a Veritas Award are those students who have displayed our ‘Rules for Living’ in their everyday interactions.

Congratulations to the following children who received Veritas awards last week: Audrey Daley, Tyson Amey, Levi Russell, Joanne Justin, Sam Willsallen, Caleb Baculio, Winter Ioasa, Corben Pearson, William Brownlee, Henry Brownsmith, Eyda Clynes, Sophia Mitchell, Reuben Gallagher, Ryan Pham, Jonty Townsend, Harper Henry, Lexi Jenkin, Cooper Gallagher, Artie Walker, Oscar McMurtrie, Nate Deacon, Bella King and Hugo Clery.

ATHLETE'S FOOT VOUCHERS

This year we have once again been given some vouchers from Athlete's Foot. This is part of their school loyalty program as a way to thank the school community for supporting their store.

The first student from each grade to find Mrs Daley and answer the riddle correctly tomorrow will receive a $20 voucher. Please note only 1 voucher per family will be given out.

SUPERVISION OF STUDENTS

All parents need to be aware, our supervision of students

does not begin until 8.15am each day.

St Nicholas School gates will not be open until the arrival of the first school bus at approximately 8.10am. It is not appropriate for children to be at school before this time with no supervision.

If your child/ren require care before 8.15am you may like to consider before school care here at school with Esteem.
