Aboriginal STEM Learner Congress

In week 6 of this term Miss Shae selected a few of our Aboriginal students to attend this year’s Aboriginal STEM Learner Congress at the Adelaide Convention Centre. The theme of the congress this year was 65,000 years in the making. We went to Adelaide University to engage with some leading technology used to teach students 'how to heard cattle safely' using virtual reality headsets. Over the 2-day excursion we listened to many guest speakers share their experience of Aboriginal people in leading STEM roles around South Australia. It was a great couple of days learning about all the ways that STEM and Aboriginal culture are intertwined.
