Principal's message
To our wonderful Clovelly Park Community,
As we reach the end of Term 3, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful learning experiences our students have enjoyed over the past few months. It has been a vibrant term filled with growth, creativity and remarkable achievements.
Our students have engaged in a variety of enriching activities that have fostered both academic and personal development. From our learning activities that ‘spark’ curiosity and innovation e.g., Science Week Volcano making, to the Performing Arts’ initiatives like Wakakirri that allow students to express their creativity, it has been inspiring to witness the enthusiasm of our learners. In addition, opportunities for ‘out of class’ learning experiences including excursions, Choir, Wakakirri, Artist in Residence Program, Swimming Week and Breaktime activities, have provided students with opportunities to collaborate, build friendships and showcase their talents. The recent Book Week Parade and Wakakirri Performance were highlights of the term where our students shone brightly on stage. Thank you to all the parents and staff who supported our young performers!
Our focus on Literacy, has provided constant opportunities for students to not only improve their literacy skills but also to develop a genuine love for reading. The joy on their faces as they share their favourite books with teachers – as was the case during Book Week, or during class time when sharing with classmates, is a testament to the positive impact of our teachers’ hard work.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated teachers for their commitment and passion for our students' education. Clovelly Park Primary School staff go ‘above and beyond’ to ensure that each student feels valued and supported.
Additionally, I would like to highlight the positive staff and student engagement we have witnessed with our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) program. This initiative encourages students to display respect, responsibility, and resilience, fostering a positive school culture. It has been rewarding to see students actively embracing these values as well as our school values of being courageous, thoughtful, inclusive and kind, leading to improved interactions both ‘in and out’ of the classroom. The commitment from our teachers to model and reinforce these behaviours has created a supportive community where all students can flourish.
As we look ahead to the upcoming school holidays, I encourage all families, staff and students to take this time to relax and recharge. Whether it’s spending time outdoors, reading together or exploring new hobbies, these moments are invaluable for our well-being.
Parents and Caregivers, thank you for your continued support of Clovelly Park Primary School. I wish everyone a restful, safe and enjoyable break and I look forward to seeing all our students return for an exciting Term 4!
