Senior School
Middle School Poetry
This term the Year Three and Four students have been demonstrating fabulous creative writing skills while engaging in a unit on poetry. Ms Crookes and I have been so impressed by the enthusiasm shown by the students as they learnt about and practised multiple short form poetry types. Here are some examples of the student’s work.

Limericks
There once was a boy from Texas.
Who wanted to buy a Lexus.
So he went to the car,
And drove very far,
To meet his beloved exes.

Colour Poems
Black is the night sky not yet ignited by the moon.
Black is a drop of poison brewed by a villainous witch.
Black is space shining with bright stars.
Black is the colour of car tyres speeding down an endless highway.
Black is wonderful.

Red is the colour of danger
Red is the colour of the liquid that keeps us alive
Red is mostly in horror games
Red is the stop sign
Red is the colour of hell.
