School Holiday 5-a-Side-Soccer Competition
After the incredible success and feedback from last term’s 5-a-side program, we’re excited to bring it back—bigger and better!
We’ve made a few tweaks to give players more opportunities to meet and play with new teammates. This time:
• Players will be randomly assigned to teams within their age group to encourage new friendships and team experiences.
• We understand this may make some players a little nervous, but last program we saw fantastic friendships form and overwhelmingly positive feedback.
𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 – 𝟓-𝐚-𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭
• Who: Players in Under 8 to Under 14 age groups
• Format: Round-robin with finals over two days
• Team Size: 5 players per side (if short, we’ll fill with players from other teams at random)
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬
Week 1
• Under 12 & Under 14 – Monday 29 & Tuesday 30 September
• Under 10 & Under 8 – Wednesday 1 & Thursday 2 October
Week 2
• Under 12 & Under 14 – Monday 6 & Tuesday 7 October
• Under 10 & Under 8 – Wednesday 8 & Thursday 9 October
𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬
• Venue: Valley Road, home of the Devonport Strikers
• Time: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM each day
• Cost: $60 per player per week (Includes pizza lunch, snacks, fruit, and drinks each day)
𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬
• Medals for winners in each age group
• Awards for special moments recognised by coaches

• Soccer boots, shin pads, drink bottle
• Team colours will be emailed after ticket purchase

• Parents are welcome to stay and watch (recommended for U8)
• Drop-off is welcome for U10 and above

AFL Holiday Programs
AFL Holiday Programs on the North West Coast will be running once again during the upcoming school holidays. These programs are a great way for kids to stay active, build skills, and have fun with friends during the break.
