Staff Hard at Work Preparing for a Successful Term 4

On Monday, 8th September, the dedicated staff of Golden Square Primary School took part in an important professional learning day focused on preparing high-quality teaching and learning programs. Generalist classroom teachers finalised their comprehensive Mathematics units for Term 4, while our specialist teachers completed their own curriculum plans in their respective areas.

This was a significant day, reflecting the staff’s strong commitment to student learning. The units created are designed to provide meaningful, engaging, and effective lessons that will not only support teaching but also enhance student understanding and achievement in the classroom.

As part of our ongoing professional learning, this Thursday’s after-school session will provide staff with the opportunity to share their hard work through PechaKucha presentations. These fast-paced, creative presentations are part of our PLC (Professional Learning Community) inquiry, where staff have worked collaboratively throughout the term to explore how Mathematics data can be used to drive instruction and improve student outcomes.

The ongoing dedication from staff has been inspiring. Their collaborative efforts and professional growth continue to have a powerful impact on the learning environment at Golden Square Primary School. We look forward to seeing the results of this planning come to life in classrooms throughout Term 4.
