Our Faith Journey

Deepening our Brigidine Story and Call

Gospel Reading

Luke 14:25-33

Jesus teaches about the demands of discipleship.

What do you think it means to be a follower of Jesus?

Can you think of a time when you made a choice that showed you were living like a disciple?

What sacrifices or challenges might come with being disciples today?

In what small ways can we bring Jesus’ love to our community?

Growing together in Faith and Mission

On Friday the 29th of August, our staff  took part in a Faith Formation Day—a special time to pause, pray, and reflect on our role as Catholic educators. Throughout the day, teachers connected with the story of the Brigidine Sisters, explored Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching, and shared ways to live out our faith through service, compassion, and justice. We also spent time in prayer and Christian meditation, concluding the day in gratitude. This faith-filled day strengthened us as a community so we can continue to nurture the faith and learning of all our students.

Reflecting together to strengthen teaching and learning

We moderated RE work samples as a staff to build a shared understanding of curriculum expectations, ensured consistency and fairness in assessing student learning, and identified strengths and next steps in teaching and learning. It also gave us the opportunity to learn from each other’s practice and deepen our confidence in supporting students’ faith and religious knowledge.

Sharing some work samples that were moderated.
