Yellow Group has continued to extend their understanding of Indigenous culture following on from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day. Children displayed great enthusiasm learning a new song, 'No Buru on the Bus' learning some Gooreng Gooreng names for different animals. On Monday children learnt about ochre painting. Children created ochre paint by crushing ochre with a mortar and pestle and adding water before adding hand prints on rocks in our outdoor area.
