ThinkUKnow Online Information Session

Last night MRPS hosted Graham from ThinkUKnow, who shared with us the importance of preventing and managing safety challenges that your child may face online, as well as guiding our children to understand these and feel empowered to take action.

Graham shared many valuable resources with us including an excellent picture story book, Jack Changes the Game. This is a new resource for parents, carers and educators to help with conversations about preventing online child sexual exploitation. Written for children aged 5 – 8 years old, Jack Changes the Game tells the story of a child being groomed while playing a game online. It explores the importance of seeking help and reporting to a trusted adult.

The eBook is now available on the ThinkUKnow website:

We had great support from our school community and we would like to acknowledge and thank those parents and carers that attended the session last night. It was so important to have our families present, to share the journey with us as we support our students into the online world safely.

If you were unable to attend the night's information session you can find further information and free webinars on the e-safety website.
