What's On in Chinese

It's so great to be back at school! In our Chinese classes, students are diving into exciting new topics. Junior students are currently learning the names of family members in Chinese. They practise writing the Chinese characters and learn the corresponding pinyin to help with their pronunciation. This foundational work not only builds their vocabulary but also enhances their understanding of the language's structure.

Meanwhile, senior students are exploring the world map in Chinese. They began by identifying the seven continents and correctly locating them on the map. Once they mastered this, they translated the names of the continents into Chinese and practised writing them in both Chinese characters and pinyin. Following this, they will expand their knowledge by learning the names of different countries in Chinese, continuing to strengthen their language skills through a global lens. This approach not only enriches their geographical knowledge but also provides a deeper cultural context to their Chinese language studies.
