Please renew your Swim Central memberships before training resumes for Term 3

Swimming Victoria’s annual, compulsory memberships are not now overdue for renewal. You can now log into Swim Central, visit the store and process your memberships. **Masters and Adult Swimmers, please disregard this message. You are registered with Masters Swimming Victoria which is a different membership that is renewed at the end of the calendar year.

 Please remember to purchase your swimmer’s membership as well as a dry membership for the guardian on the account (primary account holder). The membership covers your swimmer’s insurance, which is extremely important. Any swimmers who have not renewed their membership from the start of term 3 will not be allowed to train until it has been completed. This is to protect both your swimmer and the club in the event of an accident/injury while training. The memberships are compulsory for all swimmers in all squads, regardless of whether they are competing or not.

Swimming Victoria have created new membership options for the 2024-2025 financial year as follows:

• Competitor membership - allows swimmers competition access to state, district and club level = $202.45 incl GST & Fees
• Flexi Swimmer - classified as recreational, this membership is for swimmers 16 years and over to access training and club events only (ex. aggregates, club championships, etc). This membership is an attempt to help swimmers aged 16+ stay connected while balancing school, higher education, and work = $147.86 incl GST & Fees
• National Competitor - this is a new category introduced by Swimming Australia for swimmers who qualify and compete at National Championships. Swimmers who don't hold national times for the 2024-2025 season at the time of renewal should purchase the Competitor membership and can then upgrade to the National Competitor membership when they achieve a national time= $219.90 incl GST & Fees
• Dry membership - for guardians of all swimmers under the age of 18 years:   $15.46 incl GST & Fees

Change in fees for 10 visit passes from Maroondah Leisure

There has been some additional information and updates on access memberships from Maroondah Leisure. As you know, access membership fees increased on July 1st as outlined in the table below. We have received further information that fees for the 10 visit club passes have also increased due to an error in calculation last year.  The standard 10-pass deal for the general public includes a "buy 9, get 10" offer. Last year, Maroondah Leisure incorrectly applied a discount to this promotional deal for clubs, who were already getting a 17.5% discounted rate. This price change is also outlined in the table for your reference. 

One piece of good news - fitness plus teen memberships will now be extended to members between 12-17 years. Previously 16-17 year old swimmers were charged the individual concession rate.

The price difference between the Swim Plus/Fitness Plus memberships and the ten visit pass are still more or less the same. If you have a swimmer that is training 3 times or more per week AND/OR your swimmer likes to use the pool outside of training times a Swim Plus/Fitness Plus membership is the most cost-effective option.
