Dress up for Olympics

To celebrate the Olympic Games in Paris, Gardenvale will be turning Green and Gold on Friday 2nd August. Students are invited to come to school dressed in green and gold clothing to show their support for our Australian athletes, or in colours that represent a country of their choice. 

Parent Opinion Survey

Yesterday a Compass message was sent regarding the Education Department’s Parent Opinion Survey. Thank you so much to those who have already completed the survey. If you have the time, we would really appreciate it being completed by as many parents as possible. The survey will be conducted online and should take 20 minutes to complete. You will find the survey link and pin code in the ‘Parent Opinion Survey’ Compass message.

Year 4 to 6 House Athletics Carnival

The 2024 Year 4 – 6 Gardenvale Athletics Carnival is being held Thursday 8th August at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve commencing at 9.30am.  Parents and grandparents are most welcome to join us on this special day.  Children need to wear suitable footwear, dress in house colours, and be ready for all sorts of weather and have something warm to wear throughout this special sporting event.

School Saving Bonus

You may have seen the recent announcement of the School Saving Bonus, as part of the Victorian Budget 2024/25. This one-off support will include $400 for each eligible student to help families cover the costs of school uniforms and activities in 2025. It will be available to parents and carers of every child enrolled in a Victorian government school in 2025.  Cash will not be paid directly to individuals or families. Instead, families will receive the bonus as credits on their school accounts that will help meet the costs of your children’s activities and uniforms.
