PURPLE ORANGE -

FREE ONLINE WORKSHOP FOR  PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITY

Purple Orange is offering a free online workshop

for parents and caregivers of students with disability

Inclusion in educational settings is a right for all students. Purple Orange is presenting a free workshop to help parents and caregivers understand the benefits of mainstream education for all students when choosing a high school option for their child.

Are you a parent or caregiver of a middle school child with disability?

Are you trying to decide between mainstream and segregated education options to enrol your child for high school?

Join us for our free workshop for parents and caregivers. We will explore what an ‘Ordinary Life’ pathway looks like and how inclusive education can increase opportunities and life outcomes for your child.

You will hear from a parent about her family’s experience in both segregated and mainstream education, as she tells the personal story of her son. You will also hear the results of educational research into the benefits of mainstream education for all students.

This workshop will give you valuable insights and help you make informed decisions about your child’s education. In the workshop we will cover:

  • what inclusive education is and what it is not.
  • the benefits for inclusive education for all students.
  • how transition planning and inclusive education can increase your child’s opportunities and life outcomes.
