NAPLAN REPORTS

Earlier this year, students in Years 3 and 5 undertook the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) in Reading, Writing, Language Conventions (Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation) and Numeracy.

The NAPLAN results provide teachers and parents with a point in time assessment of the child’s learning in the areas of Numeracy and Literacy. 

The Report shows:

• Your child’s results
• The national average for your child’s year level
• The school average for your child’s year level
• The range of achievement for the middle 60% of students in the year level in Australia

NAPLAN tests are only one aspect of our school's assessment and reporting processes. NAPLAN does not replace the ongoing formative and summative assessments made by teachers about your child's achievement. The data collected is an additional source of information that can be utilised by the school to guide teaching practice and to provide personalised learning support for your child.

NAPLAN results have been sent home this week.
