Principal's Update
Hi everyone,
What a fun day we had today with everyone in their pyjamas! In this cold weather its nice to be able to come to work in warm and cosy pjs and to raise money for foster kids at the same time. Thank you to all our families for supporting this worthy cause.
Structured Play - Each lunch time our Education Support staff members run structured play for students. This involves 3 supervised activities in the yard every lunch break. Students attend structured play for a variety of reasons, and we find the program has been successful in assisting students to make friends, learn how to play different games, feel comfortable in the yard and interact with a range of other students.
Today we had Basketball, Library and Art & Crafts. For our Arts & Crafts our OSHC provider, TheirCare, assisted students to make eye masks and dream catchers in celebration of Pyjama Day. Students enjoy and look forward to these activities.
Junior Public Speaking - I am very excited about the Junior Public Speaking Regional Final being held in Finley this Sunday. Marchello, in Year 4, has worked extremely hard on his public speaking skills, winning our school competition and the Cobram Club final to make it through to the Regional Final. We all wish Marchello all the best for Sunday and are very proud of his achievement in making it to this level!
2025 Enrolments - Over the last few weeks we have been very busy conducting tours for our future Foundation students for 2025. Our places are filling fast and we recommend that any families who have not yet enrolled do so soon. Planning for our Pre-Prep Program for Term 4 is underway with enrolments for the program closing soon. Students who have already enrolled at CPS for 2025 are automatically enrolled in the Pre-Prep Program, others who are interested in the program should contact the office on 58721374.
Have a great week!
