Construction Immersion Class: Fence Replacement Project – Part 2

It is with great pride that we present an update on the ongoing Construction Immersion Class project. Our students have been diligently working on the fence replacement, and their progress has been nothing short of remarkable.

Throughout the term, our Construction Immersion students, under the expert guidance of Mr Cribb, embarked on the challenging task of replacing a rotting fence on one of our boarding properties. Initially projected to take up to 5 weeks, their dedication and efficiency have allowed them to complete the project in just a little over 3 weeks. This achievement reflects their commitment to excellence and teamwork.

The rails and fence palings have been meticulously set in place, leaving only the overlapping palings to be applied. The student’s attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols have been commendable. As the team approaches the final stages, a thorough cleanup of the area and the removal of temporary fencing will take place.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Cribb for his unwavering support and guidance to the students. His expertise has been instrumental in shaping our students’ skills and fostering a culture of excellence. Additionally, we commend the students themselves - their hard work, resilience, and collaborative spirit have truly shone throughout this project.

As we conclude this fence replacement, we eagerly anticipate the next construction endeavour. Our students will continue to gain invaluable insights, laying the foundation for their future careers in the construction industry.

A big thank you to our team for their continued support and enthusiasm!
