Year 9 Visual Art

This semester, Year 9 Visual Art students are creating artworks in the medium of photography as part of their current unit of work, “The Captured Image”. In Week 3, all students attended the Brisbane Powerhouse to view the World Press Photography Competition, one of the world’s most prestigious competitions, rewarding the best in photojournalism and documentary photography and storytelling from around the world. The excursion will inform the responding and making tasks that students are completing as part of their assessment in this unit.
