Walkathon Week is finally here!
It's time to dust off your walking shoes, think about how much money you will raise, and finalise your volunteer sign-ups for the day.
Walkathon is always a magnificent day in the sun for our whole Marist family. We can’t wait to see all those costumes, and walkers of all abilities taking up the very unique opportunity our community has to walk through the Barracks. This is truly an event like no other, only made possible through the valued partnership with our neighbours, the Australian Defence Force and Gallipoli Barracks.
After the walk, be captivated by the future of the Brisbane music scene right here on McMahon Oval to see who will take out the coveted Battle of the Bands for 2024. Coffee, canteen, donuts and slushies will all be available (Student ID/Monitor and Eftpos available - no cash).
We are grateful to everyone who has signed up as a volunteer. Days like these only happen through the generosity of volunteers. If you haven’t had a chance to book a spot yet, we are still needing help for the following times:
- Canteen Service 9:00am-10:00am, 10:00am-11:00am, and 11:00am-12:00pm
- Coffee Van 10:00am-11:00am, 11:00am-12:00pm
- BBQ Service 10:00am-11:00:00am, 11:00am-12:00pm
- Canteen and BBQ Clean-up 12:00pm-1:00pm
Sports Canteen Volunteering - Term 3
Thank you to Julie, and Jackie McGuinness for their time at Round 3 Sports Canteens on 3 August.
Flats, Grandstand and Gym Canteens will be open in various combinations across Term 3, dependant on home game fixtures. The Signup links for the full term are below. There will be more details on where volunteers are requested in year group social media pages and the MCA App as fixtures are released each week.
