Grade 3/4 News

We are now more than three weeks into our term and it has been tremendous to see the focus and work ethic of the students in the 3/4 unit.

The students have just completed their first round of explanation texts which have included a wide range of topics. We have enjoyed hearing explanations as to the creation of a Super Massive Black hole; how a fossil is formed over millions of years; what makes sea water salty and an explanation describing how crystals are formed, just to name a few.

In Numeracy, the students are continuing a focus on addition and subtraction, with a focus on worded problems. This week the students are consolidating the use of the CUBES Strategy when completing these problems.

In Religious Education, we have all enjoyed the opportunity to explore how God shows himself to us through Creation. The children have produced some truly wonderful Slideshows to express their understanding and appreciation for the awesomeness and wonder that is God.

These images will be a wonderful source of inspiration for our prayers.

Our classrooms are enjoying the Zazan Water Filters installed by Wangaratta Wholefoods,

we would all like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Jerry and Kasey for arranging this and an

equally big thank you to ZAZEN Water for their generous donation.. We are very fortunate

to have these, it’s so important to be hydrated so that we can be our best selves at work

and play.
