From the Principal

Dear Cranbourne East Community,

As we enter the final stretch of Term 3, it is with immense pride and gratitude that I reflect on the vibrant and eventful few months we have experienced at Cranbourne East Secondary College. This term has been filled with remarkable activities, celebrations, and achievements that showcase the dedication and spirit of our students, staff, and community.

College Athletics Carnival: A Day of Athletic Excellence

Our College Athletics Carnival was a tremendous success, providing a platform for our students to display their athletic talents and sportsmanship. The day was not only a celebration of physical achievement but also a testament to the camaraderie and school spirit that define our college community. Congratulations to all participants and a special shoutout to the winners who pushed their limits and achieved great results. Thank you to Mr Churchyard, Ms Hardy, and the many other staff who organised the day.

High School Musical Production: A Broadway Extravaganza

The school’s production of *High School Musical* was a spectacular highlight of the term. Our students shone brightly on stage, showcasing their acting, singing, and dancing skills in an impressive performance that captivated audiences. The hard work and dedication of our cast, crew, and directors were evident in every scene, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Congratulations to Ms Dimitriou and her substantial team of workers who created a wonderful spectacle for the community.

RUOK? Day: Fostering Connection and Wellbeing

RUOK? Day was a poignant reminder of the importance of mental health and wellbeing. Our college community came together to engage in meaningful conversations and activities designed to promote support and connection. It was heartening to see our students and staff participate with such enthusiasm and empathy, reinforcing our commitment to creating a supportive environment for all.

Wear It Purple Day: Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion

Wear It Purple Day was a vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusion. Our students and staff donned purple attire to show their support for LGBTQ+ youth and to promote acceptance and understanding. The day was filled with educational activities and discussions that highlighted the importance of inclusivity and respect within our community.

Parent-Teacher-Student Interviews: Building Stronger Connections

Our Parent-Teacher-Student Interviews were a valuable opportunity for parents, teachers, and students to come together and discuss academic progress and goals. These meetings are essential in building strong partnerships that support student success and wellbeing. Thank you to all who participated and engaged in these important conversations.

4Cs Performance at Bunjil Place: A Celebration of Creative Cultures

The 4Cs Performance (Cultivating Creative Cultures with Communities) at Bunjil Place was a remarkable event that showcased our students' creativity and cultural expressions. The performance was a testament to the collaborative efforts of our students and community members, celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures and talents within our college.

Course Counselling for 2025: Planning for the Future

Our course counselling sessions for 2025 subjects and pathways have been underway, providing our students with the guidance and information needed to make informed decisions about their future studies and career paths. We are committed to supporting each student in navigating their educational journey and exploring the myriad opportunities available to them.

Co- and Extra-Curricular Programs: Enriching Student Experience

Our range of co- and extra-curricular programs continue to thrive, offering students opportunities to explore their interests and develop new skills. From sports teams and music ensembles to academic clubs and community service projects, these programs play a crucial role in enriching our students' educational experience and fostering a well-rounded school life.

As we move into the final term of the year, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and, most importantly, our enthusiastic students. Your energy, commitment, and passion are what make Cranbourne East Secondary College a truly special place.
