The Foundation to Grade 2 students have been continuing their Drama learning over the last couple of weeks. The 'Hot Seat' game was back and the character performances were outstanding. This week the children could select any number of characters from a group given. We had witches, Batman, the Gruffalo, mermaids and a mouse, just to name a few. Their abilities to use their voice to create a character is really improving.

The children have also been working on creating fictional situations in groups using their imagination and experiences. They were given picture prompts and asked to work together to perform a scene that had a beginning, middle and end. It has been wonderful seeing the children developing their storytelling skills through collaborative play.

The children have also been working on being a respectful audience member and giving each other positive feedback on their performances.

We also loved using our new outdoor performance space this week!
