Grandparents' and Special Persons' Day

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the grandparents and special friends who graced our school with their presence last Friday. It was wonderful to see the students and their grandparent/s and special friends engaged in activities in the classrooms before gathering in the Church to celebrate Mass together. Thank you to Mr Millane for organising the Mass with Fr Trevor.

Thank you also to our Parents' Association, in particular our Year 6 Reps, for preparing a delicious Morning Tea for our special visitors.

NAPLAN

NAPLAN tests were delivered to Year 3 and 5 students in March this year. Individual student reports were sent home last week (via post).  Please contact the Office if you have not received the report. There have been some changes to the analysis of the results.

Bullying No Way: National Week of Action

For the first time, the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence (or NDA) has expanded into a week-long initiative – now known as Bullying No Way: National Week of Action. The objective of Bullying No Way Week is to encourage whole-school communities to work together to implement evidence-informed, positive and proactive solutions to prevent and address bullying and violence. This year’s theme is Everyone belongs. Belonging keeps us connected and is a powerful protection against bullying. Next Friday 9 August, students will meet in their Wellbeing Groups and explore the ftheme of 'Belonging':

  • When we all feel like we belong, bullying struggles to find a place. It's about embracing who we are, respecting everyone's differences and standing up together against unkindness.
  • Belonging means we all have a role in preventing bullying. We're encouraged to speak up and create a safe place where everyone feels supported and respected, and our voices are heard and valued.

School Uniform

A reminder to ensure your child is wearing the correct Sacred Heart School Uniform, including socks and shoes. The Sacred Heart School Uniform is a uniform that we hope students wear with pride. We thank you for your support in this area.
