Prep Update

Upcoming learning: Term 2 Weeks 6 & 7

During the next fortnight, Prep students will be undertaking learning in the following areas:

Reading	Students will engage in daily phonics lessons, focusing on the letters/sounds of /y/, /r/ and /e/ following the Little Learners Love Literacy sequence. Students will explore different internal and external character traits.
Writing	Students will learn the correct letter formation of the letter's /y/, /r/ and /e/. They will also develop their understanding of sentences and begin to write their own sentences using picture prompts and familiar events.
Maths	Week 6- Students will be learning to share objects equally and unequally. Week 7- Students will investigate teen numbers.
Inquiry	Our topic this term is 'Change'. Students will investigate how telephones have changed over time and how Bananas in Pyjamas have changed over time and the reasons why.
Social and Emotional	Students will explore that concepts that all our actions have consequences (negative and positive). Students will also investigate ways to be responsible for our environment.
