News from Foundation

WOW, the Foundations are doing so amazing at school this Term, and we are absolutely blown away by their amazing efforts!! It is very exciting, everyone has passed Level 1 reading and is very close to passing Level 2!!!

A big THANK YOU for supporting us at the assembly last week. We felt very privileged to have you all there cheering for us!

Maths

The Foundations have been learning about Shapes over the past two weeks! We have been learning about 2D shapes such as circles, squares, rectangles and triangles. This week we looked at classifying shapes by their features and grouping objects together based on colour, shape and size!

Q and U got Married!!!!

Last week we had the marriage of Q and U to learn about how Q and U are always together and stuck like glue!!

National Simultaneous Storytime

Last week was National Simultaneous Storytime, where everyone in Australia read the same book at the exact same time. This year's book was Bowerbird Blues, a tale of Bowerbirds and all the blue things that they collect! Here are the Bowerbirds that we created!

Word games

We have loved playing mini-word games in the classroom together! The other day, we played the CVC race, in which a picture came up on the screen, and the kids had to write the word as fast as they could!

Excursion
