Mini Vinnies Winter Appeal 

Our wonderful Mini Vinnies group have organised a PJ day for our Winter Appeal.

Students are encouraged to wear their PJ's to school on Wednesday 3rd July and bring a winter item to donate to those in need (Eg. new clothing, new blankets, non-perishable foods etc). 

In the lead up to this event, classes are collecting tin can's to participate in a class 'TIN CAN PYRAMID' event. Which class will build the tallest tower of tin cans on Wednesday 3/7/24? All canned items will then be donated to St Vincent De Paul. 

CSNSW Message Stick

CSNSW  State Aboriginal Conference Message Stick has spent the week at St Mary's Armidale. We are now handing the Message Stick onto O'Connor to continue it's journey. 

                                     Year 6 RE Test 

Congratulations to our Year 6 students who participated in the Diocesan wide RE Test this week. We eagerly await their results. 

Parish Masses at OLA Chapel - Friday at 9:15 am  

Thank you Father Paul Anthony and Father Damien for celebrating Parish Masses with our students this term. Our last Parish Mass will be with Kindergarten on 28/6/24. We invite families and friends to join Kindergarten at OLA Chapel for Mass. 

Sacraments 2024:  First Reconciliation & First Eucharist

Below are the proposed dates for First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation (Year 3 students) next term.   

• Wednesday 31/7/24 (Week 2 Term 3) - First Holy Communion and Reconciliation Enrolment Evening @ OLA 5:00pm. 
• Sunday 4/8/24 - First Reconciliation Lesson 1 
• Sunday 11/8/24 - First Reconciliation Lesson 2
• Sunday 18/8/24 - First Reconciliation Lesson 3
• Wednesday 21/8/24 (Week 5 Term 3) - Students make their First Reconciliation @ OLA 5:00pm. 
• Sunday 25/8/24  - First Holy Communion Lesson 1 
• Sunday 1/9/24  - First Holy Communion Lesson 2
• Sunday 8/9/24  - First Holy Communion Lesson 3
• Sunday 15/9/24  - First Holy Communion Celebrated @ 10am

We will confirm these dates with our Year 3 candidates early next term. 

If you have a Baptised child in Year 4, Year 5 or Year 6 that would like to make their First Reconciliation or First Holy Communion, they are very welcome to be part of this program.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

The 2024 Parish RCIA program WILL BE COMMENCING on Sunday 16 June.

If you are interested in becoming a Catholic or you have not received all of the Sacraments of initiation into the Church and you would like to join the group on a Sunday evening at 7pm for 20 weeks, please contact the Parish Office to register  - 67722218.
