Sacrament of Confirmation

Bishop Terry visits our Candidates

Yesterday we had the privilege of Bishop Terry visiting our Confirmation candidates. Bishop Terry spoke to the students about the symbols and rituals that are connected to Confirmation, such as the Holy Spirit, anointing, laying of the hands, sponsor and saint names. He explained each of these, the history behind them and the importance of them to the sacrament. He spoke to us about the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, reflecting on the word ‘renouncing’ and linking this to empty promises. He made great connections to real world issues that we are faced with everyday and encouraged us to ‘renounce’ these empty promises and to say no to wrong things that we may experience in life.

It was a delight to listen to Bishop Terry and our candidates all enjoyed the visit.

We look forward to confirming our candidate’s faith in the catholic church with Bishop Terry on Saturday 15th June!

Connectors - Confirmation Family Faith Night

Parish Mass

Thank you to our families and friends for joining our Year 4 students last week at their Mass. Thank you to Father Anh and Brother Rhys, for leading us through a beautiful celebration. Our Year 4 students, who celebrated the Sacrament of Eucharist, were able to receive the blessed Sacrament a second time.

Tomorrow, we celebrate Mass with out Foundation students. Family and friends are welcome to join us at 12pm in our Sacred Space.

Next Friday the 7th June, mass has been organised by our Year 2 students.
