Welcome back to Term Two! I cannot believe we are already in week 4!

I hope you all had a wonderful break and are ready for another exciting term filled with learning and growth. As we begin this term, I would like to highlight a special event that kicked off our term on a high note - the Senior Leadership Team and Board Members' New Families Dinner at Camp Clayton. It was truly a wonderful night and provided a fantastic opportunity for our school community to come together and warmly welcome new families into our school.

We are thrilled to share with you the new developments that have taken place around our campuses. One very exciting addition is the opening of the Year 5/6 classrooms at the Burnie campus. These classrooms are spacious, flexible and modern and provide a wonderful resource for our students to learn and thrive in. We are delighted to see the positive impact these classrooms already have on our students' educational experience. The feedback from the students and the staff has been very positive, and we are so thankful to God for His provision.

A Board subcommittee is currently developing the Ulverstone Campus master plan, which we will share with you in the coming months.

In addition to the new classrooms, we are proud to share that our Ulverstone library is now more beautiful than ever. Thanks to an extended mural and an incredible tree, the library has been transformed into a captivating and inspiring space for our students. We encourage all students to take advantage of this wonderful resource and explore the world of knowledge and imagination that awaits them within the walls of our library.

Our dedicated staff members have been engaged in numerous professional development opportunities this term. We were fortunate to have literacy training with our esteemed consultant, Jocelyn Seamer, who provided and will continue to provide valuable insights and strategies to enhance our students' literacy skills. Furthermore, our staff had the privilege of participating in project-based learning workshops with New Tech Network Australia, equipping them with innovative teaching methods to further engage and inspire our students.

This week, some of our staff members had the opportunity to attend the Simon Learning Management Conference in Melbourne. This conference allowed them to connect with educators from across the country and gain valuable insights into effective educational practices. We are confident that the knowledge and inspiration they have gained will significantly benefit our students' learning journey and help partner with you as parents and guardians.

Looking ahead, we are incredibly excited to announce that we will launch a new Year 9 program for 2025. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting initiative.

As we embark on this term, let us take a moment to reflect on the blessings and provisions that we have received. We are grateful for all that our school community has achieved and for the continued support of our staff, students, and families. "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Let us approach this term with gratitude and positivity, knowing that together and through Christ Jesus we can accomplish great things.
