Prep

Students in Prep have been showcasing their fundamental motor skill of catching through various skill acquisition activities. They have also begun our second unit for the term; Cooperative Games. The students have been learning about the importance of working cooperatively with peers; using positive words and body language, as well as taking turns and sharing equipment when engaging in physical activities.

Grade 1 & 2

Students in Grade 1 & 2 have been focusing on developing their fundamental motor skills of throwing and catching. It has been wonderful to see their skills develop as they engage in various skill acquisition activities.

Grade 3 & 4

Students in Grade 3 & 4 have been developing and refining their sports specific skills in Netball, with a focus on passing; chest pass, bounce pass, lob pass and shoulder pass, catching; landing/pivoting, landing and dodging. As well as, keeping possession, learning how to shoot and the basic rules of netball in small sided games.

Grade 5 & 6

Students in Grade 5 & 6 have been developing and refining their sport specific skills in Handball, with a focus on the correct technique for passing a catching. As well as, bouncing, shooting, goalkeeping and strategies to improve their abilities to attack and defend in Handball.

Interschool Sports

On Friday 3rd of May, students from grade 5 & 6 competed against St Francis and we were very proud of their efforts. The scores are below;
