Reconciliation Week

Monday of week 7 we began our Reconciliation Week with a trip to Echuca to participate in the Campaspe Shire Reconciliation Walk & Ceremony. Jordi, Archie, Max, Sophie & Tilly travelled alongside other Rochester students from the primary and high schools where we started the day with Uncle Rick who led us through a smoking ceremony. As a group we walked alongside Hare Street to the Port where we watched the Australian and Aboriginal flags being raised and listened to speeches from local community members. 

Sacrament of Reconciliation 

Thursday of week 8 we recognised those students who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Students took the time to prepare what Reconciliation means in the lead up to the sacrament and then were joined by the school community from students, staff, family members and friends in a liturgy.
