‘i Sea, i Care’ Student Marine Ambassadors for 2025

Teaching Our Students About The Human Impact On Our World
The ‘i Sea, i Care’ Ambassador program is designed for students in Grades 5 and 6 and it was developed by the Dolphin Research Institute.
When we started this program three years ago, only four students were chosen to be Ambassadors from St Simon’s but after the huge success of the program we have increased our number. This year we have selected eight students to be Marine Ambassadors. Our students learn about what lives in our bays and waterways, and the many issues facing them.
It gives us great pleasure to announce that these Grade 6 students will be our Marine Ambassadors: Nathaniel Pitruzzello, Keira Bartholomeusz, Emmett Baker and Jadon De Silva. They are also our Grade 6 Environmental leaders. Also joining the team are our Grade 5 Marine Ambassadors: Ariana Duke, Jayden Walther, Neve Stone and Alana Powell. The School Ambassadors Program at St Simon’s is supported and organised by Miss Felsinger, Miss Do, Mrs Solari and Mrs Rayner.
Through peer-teaching workshops, our student Ambassadors develop the skills and self-confidence to pass their knowledge on. Throughout the year our students will learn how to deliver interactive lessons to their peers in Prep, Grade One and Grade Two in order to raise awareness about sustainability around St Simons.
Our student Marine Ambassadors will tell their peers, share their knowledge with younger children and present at assemblies about Victoria’s living marine treasures, and help spread the message that they are too precious to lose!
