Welcome to another big year of Music! We are excited for what lies ahead, and look forward to giving families a wide range of opportunities to hear our music students. Please have a look at the 2025 Music Calendar below. Make sure to take note of any events that are relevant add these dates to your calendar. 

We held a successful day of Year 7 Instrument Trials on Wednesday February 12th, followed by our Instrumental Recruitment Session for families at 4:30pm. It’s fantastic that we have over a third of our Year 7’s enrolled in instrumental lessons this year, and they have all now commenced their lessons. 

Most ensemble rehearsals have been underway for a few weeks now, including a new ensemble, the Intermediate Concert Band. Our Beginner Concert Band held their very first rehearsal at 8am on Tuesday February 25th, and our Rock Band, another new ensemble, will start rehearsing next Tuesday March 3rd at lunchtime. 

We welcome any students who have an interest in singing with others to come along to Choir Rehearsals, which are held each Thursday at lunchtime in M02. We’ve already had a number of Year 7’s come along, and we would love to see some more! 

We’d like to welcome Tim Rex to our Instrumental Music team! Tim will be teaching Brass and Keyboard on Mondays, and will also be directing our Stage Band. 

Fees for lessons should be appearing as Compass events very soon. Fees can be paid in instalments or as a lump sum.
