Physical Education Update – A Busy and Exciting Term!

It has been an action-packed term in Physical Education, with students immersing themselves in a range of sports and developing key skills in teamwork, strategy, and coordination.

In the first half of the term, we focused on invasion games through Aussie Rules Football, where students learned fundamental skills such as kicking, handballing, marking, and game play strategies. As the term progresses, we are shifting our focus to striking games through Softball, where students are learning to hit, catch, throw, and understand the tactical side of the game.

A huge congratulations to Charlotte Allen, who has been selected for the Onkaparinga South District Softball team! She will be representing our district at West Beach in a three-day tournament later this term. We are incredibly proud of her achievement and wish her all the best in the competition!

Our students have also been busy trialing for the school Track and Field SAPSASA team, which will compete in Week 10 at Tatachilla Lutheran College. The team will be announced next week, and we commend all students who have participated in trials for their effort and determination.

Looking ahead to Term 2, our Cross Country runners are already hard at work preparing for their competition in Week 2. We are so proud of all the students training for this event. To be eligible for the team, students must attend at least 10 training sessions, which are held Mondays and Thursdays at recess on the oval. We encourage all keen runners to keep up their hard work and commitment!

Thank you to all parents and caregivers for your continued support of our students' sporting endeavours. We look forward to an exciting end to the term and more opportunities for our students to shine in sport!
