Year 10 Work Experience Opportunities

A huge congratulations to Flick Thompson and Ben Abyat for being selected into the GLAM (Girls Leading Advanced Manufacturing) and GFLOI (Geelong Future Leaders of Industry) programs organised by Geelong Manufacturing Council. Both students across the next few months will undertake many workplace visits, mentoring sessions and work experience. Visits to VIVA Energy, AB Radiators, Cobram Estate, are just a few of the industrial sites they will visit. A great opportunity to explore high end manufacturing and STEM industries on our local area. Well done.

AVALON AIRSHOW CAREERS DAY-             

Year 10-11-12 Students

On Friday 28th March, Avalon Airshow opens its doors for school students to explore the many pathway options in the aviation industry.

We are fortunate to have 30 places for students who express a genuine interest in this opportunity.

Students are asked to pick up an EXPRESSION OF INTEREST form from the Careers room and submit this by FRIDAY 14 March.

The cost will just be the bus fare. This will appear on XUNO soon.

 

WHITE CARD TRAINING at OBERON HS

Year 10, 11 and 12 students will have the opportunity to undertake their White Card Training on Tuesday 18th March at Oberon HS.

This qualification enables students to undertake work experience on construction sites.

If interested, please let the Careers team know.

Places are limited to 20. Cost is $90 and this qualification is for life.

Another session will be available Friday 20th June.
