Disability Inclusion Update

It’s been a busy start to the year in the Disability Inclusion Hub, settling in our new students and providing support for our returning students to get back into the routine of school. 

We know that many families have been on long waitlists to see external supports or to get assessments finalised. We ask that families of students with learning diagnoses please contact either your child’s year level coordinator or the Disability Inclusion team directly to update any additional information, recent diagnoses, external support recommendations or concerns. 

The Inclusion team and coordinators will be in touch in the next few weeks to start scheduling Student Support Group meetings (SSGs) to re-establish Individual Education Plans (IEP) and goals for your children. We will try to be flexible with appointment times where possible, but we do have many meetings to schedule so we ask that you are also flexible. These meetings are also a good opportunity to provide us with any new information and documentation. 

We are now four years into our new funding process Disability Inclusion and two years into the updates to the VCE special consideration processes and the more information we have the better we can support your children to meet and exceed their goals.
